The 2nd edition of the Big Bang took place on July 30th and 31st at Mont Cascades.  A night of water slides, wakeboard and DJs, for those who wanted to go up to the mountain.  DJ Carl Muren was also there to mix his best beats to finish the night away.

Yes, once again, crowds of curious people were amazed by the high-caliber wakeboarding at Mont Cascades. Several amazing athletes came to ride, many from Quebec and Ontario.  Yan Lecomte was the only athlete to come to and challenge the wakeskate set up. To defend the female honor, Kelsey Chiappa came to prove that she had more balls that some of the guys that were competing.

In the semi-final round, Jo Ferguson competed against Max Cartier and Yannick Thibault against Benjamin Leclair. In the end, Cartier and Thibault went on to the finals.  Cartier couldn’t handle the pressure, so Thibault won the 500$ and one of the Coors Light Girls.

Thank you to the Orchestra team for having organized the Big Bang and including a wakeboard show. We’re all hoping to see it back again in 2011!
